FAQ’s
We recommend booking your flights/trains soon after booking your retreat. We highly recommend your book flexible or refundable flights in case of any changes to your trip. Jo Joseph Yoga will not be responsible for any monies you have paid for travel, so please make sure you have booked flexible flights with an airline that will allow free date changes or that issues credit vouchers for future flights or have comprehensive travel insurance.
We carefully research travel options when we put each retreat together, so when you book you will be sent suggested flights and approximate fares. You will then need to choose and book your own flights.
We can arrange airport transfers. Sometimes these will be in a private taxi and sometimes a shared vehicle, depending on the location and distances to be travelled. You will be given details when you book, and we are on hand to advise you on how to get to and from our retreat.
All guests will be required to provide proof of their comprehensive travel insurance which should cover the activities you plan to undertake and have adequate cover for travel delay, cancellation and curtailment, medical expenses and your personal belongings. Your policy should include additional Covid cover which will ensure that any medical or quarantine costs are covered while you are away and that your trip costs are refunded if you have test positive for Covid and cannot travel. This kind of insurance is now widely available and reasonably priced. Single trip cover can be as little as £7.
Knowing the travel and testing rules to enter into the country is your responsibility. You must make sure that you have the required tests and/or vaccines and tracking forms as requested by the country you are visiting. When you book we will send you a link so that you can check the entry rules for the country you are visiting and also track any updates and changes.

No, we have yoga equipment but we find many guests prefer to bring their own mat, or a travel mat to put over the mats provided.
We want you to have a great time on the retreat, so it is advisable that you have tried yoga before and know how to follow a flow class before you come. You definitely don’t need to be a yoga expert or be super flexible but a basic knowledge of asana and a fairly good fitness level means you will get the most out of your retreat. Doing 3-4 hours yoga a day can be challenging but Jo will make sure everyone gets what they need from classes. If you’re not sure, please contact us for a chat about the yoga style and we will be happy to advise you.
We offer massage treatments by a highly skilled practitioner. You will often be offered the chance to book treatments in advance but there will also always be options to book during the retreat.
We are passionate about feeding you really well on our retreats. We offer vegetarian Mediterranean meals made with local produce with vegan options.
We don’t have alcohol on our retreats and we request that you do not bring alcohol with you. However, if you feel like a glass of something when you are out, that is fine with us. We encourage you to please do so mindfully and moderately so that you can get the most out of your yoga retreat.
We prefer to keep group sizes small so you can expect between 10-18 guests.
Arrival is after 5pm on Wednesday.
Check-out is 10 am on the Tuesday.
Yes! We really hope you do decide to join us. We have a mix of people who decide to come with friends and those who would like to travel alone.
Remember if you are deciding to join us alone, then there is a likelihood that there are other like-minded people who will be feeling the same!
We always recommend sharing a twin room- it might sound intimidating but it’s an amazing way to feel a sense of community and sharing, and there are always lots of spaces to relax and unwind if you do need to escape a bit.
Ah this is a difficult one! We love that people of all walks of life join us on our retreats, so it is hard to sum up a typical group. However, there are a few things that unite all of our groups: they tend to be made up of friendly, like-minded people, single travellers, couples, friends and groups, people are respectful of each other and people are looking to relax, unwind and have fun in a safe, welcoming setting.
We really hope you don’t! But if you do we have a very strict cancellation policy- unfortunately we are a very small company and cancellations can really affect us. See more, here.
Dynamic Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga.
Not at all. This is your time to do what will make you feel best. If that means skipping the yoga and going for a walk, do that! Our wish is that you do whatever your heart desires. How often can we actually do that?
